FauxFoil gives the metallized illusion of genuine foil print not just for gold but for the entire CMYK printing gamut, achieving this without the high minimum cost threshold and resultant minimum quantities encountered when printing with genuine foils.

FauxFoil is printed in-house with our UV printer by printing onto chrome finish polypropylene, or the more expensive chrome finish polyester if outdoor application is required. This involves not only utilizing the standard cyan, magenta, yellow and black inks but also incorporating the double white inks which play an integral part in achieving the FauxFoil result.

Many other white inks will scratch or even rub off when applied to polypropylene but the white ink used in our UV printer is rock hard and etched on so no amount of rubbing or abrasion will impact on it and the white point is extremely clean typically with no tint. By laying down a double coating in one pass excellent opacity is easily achieved delivering all-in-all outstanding impact and quality for a stunning print finish.
